Redefining style in the seasons of motherhood
Légoe Heritage was founded on the notion of honouring women throughout the chapters of motherhood. Our vision was to truly add value and support women in this time, by providing them with a wealth of style and inspiration to help them celebrate themselves in this transformative time of their lives.
Style is such an important form of self-expression, yet before Légoe we found options limited in the realm of maternity wear that truly allowed women to dress in a way that felt like an extension of their wardrobes and established sense of style, whilst still catering to a bump and later the practical needs of nursing.
We set out to create a world that truly honours women in this season. Providing more than just maternity wear, we aim to be a source of aspirational style, a community of resources that inspire you to fall in love with dressing your bump, and most importantly feel like yourself amongst the change that it brings.
We consciously adopt a broader perspective to our brand, seeking to ensure that our offering supports and empowers not only the women wearing our clothes, but also encompassing our makers, the planet and our greater community.
Considered Impact
At Légoe, our dedication extends beyond crafting meaningful clothing to ensuring that our systems and processes of production uphold our values of supporting the community. We intend to have a positive impact on the lives of our customers, our makers and our planet and are committed to an ever-evolving perspective in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
Ethical Partnerships
We are highly selective with our makers to ensure that we consciously partner with production facilities with ethical workplace practices and fair work conditions, whilst also ensuring quality in our products.
Environmental Initiatives
We understand the importance of minimising our environmental footprint and actively seek ways to reduce our impact on the planet.
We acknowledge the detriment to our environment associated with single-use plastic, and as part of our ongoing efforts, by the end of 2024, we eliminated the use of plastic in our packaging where we implemented alternative bio-degradable garment packaging and partnered with Hero Packaging to provide home compostable mailers to ship all orders.
Product Lifecycle
At Légoe we intentionally craft clothing that supports the needs of women from a style and practicality lense, and are proud to champion a perspective on maternity dressing that considers wear throughout all stages of pregnancy, nursing and afterwear. This is grounded in our philosophy of crafting high-quality garments made to last - therefore we are committed to making sure that by design, our products are adaptable to different stages for extended wear.
An element of this we place at the forefront is garment care, as we believe that caring for our clothing is a crucial step in ensuring your clothing’s longevity.
Giving Back
Since inception, we have actively donated to multiple charities and fundraisers to give back to those in need and the community around us. At Légoe, we consider this an immense privilege that we can extend our brand's positive impact to those worthy and deserving of support. Some of the initiatives we have been proud to have contributed to include:
- Donations to Barwon Health for the Women’s and Children’s Health Services.
- Donated tens of thousands to I=change and assisted in registering Send Hope to the platform - an organisation supporting mothers to survive childbirth in developing countries.
- Donated over $10,000 to the QLD and NSW Floods Appeal for the NSW floods in 2022.
- Donated to the CFS, Red Cross & RFBAQ for those who suffered and for the volunteers assisting with the bushfires in 2020.
- Donated funds to the Bushfire Fundraiser organised by Got You Girls, which raised over $8,000.
- Multiple Go-Fund-Me fundraisers for the Cancer Council Victoria.
- Regular contributions to Red Nose Day.
In Partnership with Thread Together
In our dedication to minimising waste, we have established a partnership with Thread Together, a not-for-profit organisation that provides access to new, unworn clothing to vulnerable people within our community. Any past season styles, seconds and items with minor faults that do not meet our quality standards are sent to Thread Together for upcycling and redistribution. As of mid 2025, Légoe has donated over $100,000 of wearable end-of-the-line goods to support those in need and provide them with essential clothing.
